A Headfirst Digital Beginning for
Northgate British School with All Prints
Executive Summary
Northgate British School, part of the S&Z Group, opened its doors with a bold commitment to innovation by embedding technology at the heart of its educational model. With All Prints as its trusted Apple Education partner, the school launched a full 1:1 iPad program seamlessly integrated into STEM, coding, and everyday classroom learning from the very first day. Teachers and students embraced Apple technology to spark creativity, elevate engagement, and build stronger pathways toward independent learning.
This case study highlights the school’s vision, the deployment process, challenges overcome, and the measurable impact on teaching, learning, and overall classroom experience. It also details insights, lessons learned, and next steps to continue the school’s digital transformation.
School Background
Northgate British School started as a brand-new institution with no prior technology use and is part of the S and Z Group. Positioned as an affordable British curriculum school with premium features and the latest technology innovations, it welcomed around 120 students and 85 staff in its first year, expanding to 1500 students in its second year.
From the outset, All Prints guided the school on device selection for both teachers and students, accessories, and setup. The deployment included a full one-to-one iPad program, with teachers equipped with keyboards and styluses and students with styluses. The Apple Professional Learning journey began last year to support the school’s ambition for Apple Distinguished School recognition. Teachers received intensive support to embed iPads into daily practice from day one, including Apple Classroom configuration. A STEM scope and sequence was co-developed with All Prints consultants to integrate iPad use alongside robotics and STEM equipment. Learn to Code levels one and two were leveraged across the school, enabling teachers to enhance classroom learning, project work, and student engagement.
Northgate aimed to innovate teaching in a fully wireless environment, empower students to become independent learners, and support differentiated instruction through the use of iPads.

Deployment Overview
The initiative’s primary goal was to integrate iPads seamlessly into classrooms to foster creativity, engagement, and independent learning. Planning began with close collaboration between the All Prints team and the school leadership, ensuring every step of the deployment aligned with Northgate’s educational vision. Together, they conducted infrastructure assessments, tested the environment, and trained the school IT team on Apple School Manager and JAMF for smooth device management. This planning ensured that the implementation would be technically ready, aligned with learning objectives, and ready to scale across the school.
Setup and Training
All Prints led the preparation of iPads using zero touch deployment and configured Apple Classroom to ensure seamless integration. Close coordination with the head office maintained alignment and accountability throughout the setup process. Intensive Apple Professional Learning sessions were delivered to founding teaching staff, focusing on embedding iPad use into daily lessons, co constructing the STEM scope and sequence, and enabling effective classroom management. Teachers were empowered to leverage iPads for teaching, STEM lessons, coding, and project weeks to foster independent and collaborative learning.
Implementation Journey
The implementation began with a collaborative meeting between All Prints and school leadership to define priorities, objectives, and expected outcomes for the iPad deployment. All Prints assessed the school infrastructure to ensure Wi Fi coverage, network capacity, and classroom layouts could support a fully wireless learning environment. Devices and accessories were allocated according to role, and zero touch deployment ensured readiness from day one. Apple School Manager and JAMF instances were created, and the school IT staff received practical training to manage devices and apps. Apple Classroom was deployed across all classrooms to allow teachers to monitor student progress and facilitate interactive lessons. Hands on training empowered teachers to confidently integrate iPads into lessons, maximizing opportunities for interactive and collaborative learning. All Prints maintained ongoing consultation with IT staff and school leadership to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and provide guidance on effective technology use in the classroom.
Challenges and Solutions
During deployment, initial mishandling of iPad configuration caused inconsistencies in Apple Classroom across classrooms. Capacity gaps within the IT team and disconnects between the senior leadership team, group office IT, and school IT were identified. All Prints addressed these challenges by providing detailed reports, consultations, and roundtable problem solving sessions. Recommendations included building IT team capacity and appointing an EdTech Lead. These solutions ensured the school overcame early implementation hurdles and maintained seamless technology integration in classrooms.
Teaching and Learning Impact
iPad transformed teaching and learning at Northgate British School. Teachers reported that students became more independent, created detailed presentations, researched effectively, and used iPads in STEM and coding lessons. Students captured evidence of learning on Seesaw, and project weeks incorporated technology in engaging ways. Despite some challenges with behavior management among new cohorts, teachers noted significant benefits in learning outcomes, collaboration, and creativity.
Results and Insights
Feedback collection focused on changes in productivity, classroom focus, engagement, and learning outcomes. Teachers observed that students quickly adapted to iPads as learning tools, especially in STEM and coding projects. Apple technology supported independent learning, creative expression, and enhanced collaboration. Further improvement opportunities include ongoing IT capacity building and consistent reinforcement of Apple Classroom practices.
Next Steps
Moving forward, the focus is on deepening Apple technology integration to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes. The new principal will collaborate with All Prints to map remaining professional learning sessions for term two, focusing on practical classroom applications. Teachers will receive continued support to maximize iPad use for lessons, projects, and student collaboration. Capacity building of the IT team remains a priority to ensure smooth device management and quick resolution of technical issues. Regular check ins and walkthroughs will help identify opportunities for enhancement and ensure technology continues to empower teachers and students. Through these actions, Northgate British School will solidify its foundation for digital transformation and foster lasting creativity, engagement, and independent learning across every classroom.
